The Rule of Deception: Avenging Kashmiris

January 25, 2011

By Mehdi Siddique

No nation in the entire world, in the entire history has been enslaved by foreign forces for such a long period of time as Kashmir. It has been over one thousand years that this land of Kashmir is witnessing tyrant oppression, a rule of brutal regimes and barbaric rulers. Those having a good insight in Kashmir’s history would agree with me that this is the land where the ‘cruel as death’ Huns ruled in the early sixth century; brutal “Unmattavati ruled in eight century and  administered torture by the use of arm splitting, by the throwing of daggers which plunged into the hollows between the breasts of naked women, he then ripped the abdomens of the pregnant women apart to see their foetuses” (Majid Siraj: Kashmir Desolation or Peace). Despotic Harisha ruled in the tenth century who would plunder the wealth of commoners and subject them to huge taxes. And then the ‘Paradise on earth’ also witnessed the loot and arson of the Ferocious Tartars in the twelfth century who took with them fifty thousand slaves, nevertheless they perished in a blizzard crossing the Devasar pass to Mongolia alongwith all wealth and slave people.

Black October in Indian Occupied Kashmir

October 27, 2010

“The will of Kashmiris is the supreme law in Kashmir,” said Mahatma Gandhi.

“We are committed to abide by the decision of the people of Kashmir, whatever it might be. We are committed secondly to a plebicite (promised and agreed in UNSC resolution). If the people of Kashmir decide to remove or do away with their old ruler, we must accept that decision in view of our repeated assurances to the effect. If they want to leave India, that also we have to accept because of our assurance. We could of course want this done in the proper way and having due regard to the constitutional proprieties,” – Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India in a letter to Indian President Dr. Rajinder Prasad.

October 27, 2010

A political alliance is emerging in Bharat–leftist liberal and good Hindus supporting the oppressed Kashmiris backed by the rebellious Naxalbaris (aka Maoists). The open rebellion against the Central government has indeed rattled Delhi and they have retaliated with the usual threats of force and incarceration. Any move against Geelani, or Roy will indeed backfire further exacerbating the vortex of discontent in Bharat.
