Oman uncovers UAE spy network

[Reuters] – Oman said it had uncovered a UAE spy network in the Gulf Arab state that targeted its government and military, the state news agency of the U.S. ally in the Arabian Peninsula reported on Sunday.

“Security services uncovered a spying network belonging to the state security apparatus of the United Arab Emirates, targeting the ruling regime in Oman and the way its government and military work,” the agency said, quoting a security source.

Obliterating Junduallah

According to the Iranians the US has been aiding and abetting Anti-Iranian terrorists for the past several decades. Pakistan has tried its best to apprehend and deport the Jundullah terrorists. Three Rigi brothers who spearheaded the terror organization were captured and sent packing back to Tehran. One of them was caught right after meeting the Indian Ambassador in Kabul.

Pakistani Ambassador hosted fundraiser for neocon think-tank

The Pakistani ambassador to the U.S. hosted a fundraiser at his residence for a neoconservative D.C. think-tank, which solicited donations of $5,000 for invitations to the event. But the think-tank, the Foundation for Defense of Democracies (FDD), didn’t bother to tell the Pakistani embassy that the event was a fundraiser or that it was sandwiched in the middle of a two-and-a-half day conference on “Countering the Iranian Threat” put on by the group.

“We didn’t know at all that they have done this fundraising,” Imran Gardezi, a spokesperson for the Pakistani embassy, told the Middle East Channel. “And neither did they share with us that they would be doing this conference. Very frankly, we didn’t know about this conference.”

Iran starts “biggest” air defense war games

November 18, 2010

(Reuters) – Iran began what it said was its biggest ever air defense drill on Tuesday to test its ability to deter air strikes, which the United States and Israel have not ruled out to prevent it from developing nuclear weapons.

The website of Iran’s English-language Press TV said the five-day war games were being held near nuclear facilities and included tests of long-range missiles.
