Pakistan is Ready!

October 8, 2010

Tair-e-Lahoti | PKKH Editorial

Hundreds of NATO trucks have been burnt in the last couple of days, in response to the demise of 3 soldiers of Pakistan Army by NATO helicopters. A response not at all anticipated by the US policy makers. Evidently, they took the whole nation to be as characterless as its government. In less than a week USA is on its knees, begging for forgiveness.

The blockade of supply line by Pakistan is not the scariest thing for Washington. What is much scarier is the response of the Pakistani nation. The eminent glow of self confidence, in the eyes of every Pakistani, is much frightening a nightmare. A nation which was evidently helpless and fast asleep has suddenly risen. A ray of hope was all that was required.

Ever since Gen. David H. Petraeus pulled out all the stops in desperation to produce results in a long lost war, the Obama administration has been trying to shift the war across the border. Clearly pressure was being built on Pakistan Army to pursue militants in the tribal areas. It seemed impossible to shut the constant blabber of “Pakistan must Do More” by Pentagon. The Drone attacks on Pakistan soil seemed to intensify with each passing day, increasing the deaths of innocent civilians. The incompetent government had long closed its eyes on the issues of security and integrity, humiliating the nation day and night.

The blockade seems to have addressed all these issues to a large extent. The US-installed Zardari government was forced to protest to the US administration. Even the joint Pakistan-NATO inquiry seemed to go in favor of Pakistan, something which the NATO and the US are not very used to. Former COAS Gen. Mirza Aslam Baig has demanded that PAF shoot down drones and helicopters violating the borders. The sentiments of the Pakistani nation are no different. Right now, the super power is desperate to revive its relations with a so called “third world country”. Today, after a long time, people of Pakistan are truly proud of their Armed forces. The nation’s confidence in their ghazis has been rekindled.

This is a clear indication of the amount of damage this nation can do when enemies cross their lines. Today, even the sick, hungry and shelter-less people of the flood affected areas are walking around with a smile of ‘khudi’(dignity). The Leader of their army has taken a brave step and the nation has stepped up behind him. This shall prove to be one of the first stepping stones of the long awaited march towards the establishment of true Khilafah.

The US is and will always be a dangerous ally for Pakistan. Her history of double standards should leave us with no doubt that Pakistan will be back-stabbed by her. What better examples do we need other than the wars of 1965 and 1971? The leadership needs to re-evaluate its foreign policy and redefine its allies and enemies. We as a nation need to turn back to Allah Almighty and mould our lives according to the Qur’an and Sunnah. Win we shall, destiny is ours (Insha’ALLAH).
